About the Ford Bronco Sport
Engineered for those with a thirst for adventure, the Ford Bronco Sport is a rugged compact SUV thatās built to help you get out and explore the path less traveled. Buyers will have their choice of two potent yet efficient EcoBoostĀ® engines that come standard with a proven 4X4 system. To match your own unique personality, the Bronco Sport is available with a number of individual option packages along with over 100 factory-authorized accessories. In the development stages, the Bronco Sport was subjected to the grueling Built Wildā¢ Extreme Durability Testing process that was conducted in some of the harshest environments including the Johnson Valley desert in California. Since strength is nothing without intelligence, the Bronco Sport comes standard with SYNCĀ® 4 which includes FordPass Connectā¢ with over-the-air software updates. A wide range of class-exclusive interior amenities helps the Bronco Sport feel at home both on city streets and on challenging off-road trails.
What the Critics Say
āInside, the Bronco Sport boasts an attractive design and a plethora of popular features. The little ute also has an impressive amount of space and several neat innovations. While its wheelbase is shorter than the Escape, the baby Bronco has an upright seating position and a decent amount of rear-seat legroom.ā ā Car and Driver
āHowever, this bite-size adventure-mobile provides ample appeal with thoughtful features, a fun design, and legitimate off-road capability. Our First Drive featured seriously gnarly away-from-pavement driving, and the Bronco Sport delivered performance we wouldn’t expect from any stock crossover.ā ā MotorTrend

Ford Bronco Sport Features
Built Wildā¢ Performance
Ready to conquer any obstacle standing in your way, the Ford Bronco Sport has the performance and capability to take you further. Standard power comes from a 1.5-liter EcoBoostĀ® 4-cylinder with 180 horsepower or you can upgrade to the available 2.0-liter EcoBoostĀ® with 238 horsepower for even more muscle. Regardless of engine choice, every Bronco Sport benefits from a standard 4X4 system and a responsive 8-speed automatic transmission. Badlands trims stand out with their sophisticated 4X4 system that includes a class-exclusive twin-clutch rear-drive unit with a differential lock feature. Youāll be ready for any type of conditions thanks to the standard Terrain Management System with up to seven G.O.A.T. (Goes Over Any Terrain) Modes. Standard modes include Normal, Eco, Sport, Slippery, and Sand. Class-exclusive Trail Controlā¢ technology is another available feature on the Bronco Sport which allows vehicle-controlled throttle and braking on the trails. The Bronco Sport even boasts a maximum water wading clearance of up to 23.6 inches.
Bold Design
Engineered for those who crave adventure, the Ford Bronco Sport stands out from the ordinary with its upright styling and safari-inspired roofline. Other eye-catching design cues include an overlanding-prepped roof rack, flip-glass rear window, and a low load floor cargo area. You can easily notice the similarities to its larger Bronco sibling thanks to its timeless proportions, flat bodysides, round headlamps, and an encapsulated cartridge front grille. In just a few minutes, you can transform your Bronco Sport into basecamp with a clever slide-out table thatās included with the optional five-way configurable Cargo Management System. An optional class-exclusive 400-watt inverter and liftgate flood lamps can provide up to 129 square feet of lighting to help you keep the party going even after the sun has set. Bronco Sport buyers can also choose from any of the four lifestyle accessory bundles themed Bike, Snow, Water, and Camping.
Versatile Interior
When itās time to escape the harsh wilderness, the interior of the Ford Bronco Sport has plenty of versatile yet comfortable space for you to relax and unwind. Along with best-in-class first- and second-row headroom, the cargo area even has room to carry two standing 27.5-inch-wheel mountain bikes with the available Yakima dealer-installed interior bike rack accessory. Helping you stay in touch even when you’re miles away from home, you’ll have access to the standard SYNCĀ® 4 system with a 13.2-inch touchscreen and wireless Apple CarPlayā¢ and Android Autoā¢ smartphone integration. Optional rubber flooring throughout the cabin and cargo area, easy-to-clean cloth seating surfaces, and silicone-sealed control switches add rugged functionality to the interior.
